how do sonicare toothbrushes charge?

I just got one of those sonicare electric toothbrushes yesterday and I noticed something really puzzling. Neither the charger nor the toothrush have any contacts with which to charge. it's just smooth white plastic all over. Does it do it magnetically or something? here's a pic to show you what I'm talking about.
