I'm ordering a panel to upgrade the crappy 1366x768 15.6" LCD on my secondary laptop to a more respectable 1920x1080 panel. After I had placed my order (though the order won't ship out until tomorrow), I was told that the B156HW01 V.4 is the best matte 1080p panel there is, and when I looked it up, it turns out that the panel was tested here at Anandtech.
So before I try to contact them to cancel or change the order (and also pay more for the AUO panel), I'd like to see how it compares to the panel that's currently in my order, which, according to reps at the dealer, is a Samsung (LTN156HT01, specifically).
But the problem with comparing panel specs at AT is that the panels are never listed by model number or even manufacturer, but instead a specific laptop in which they appear. E.g., the B156HW01 V.4 is shown as a Mythlogic 1400. So I don't know how the AUO v4 compares to the Samsung, as I can't seem to find much information about Samsung panels. Is the AUO v4 miles better, or just marginally better?
So does anyone here have much experience with Samsung's 15.6" panels? Are they good? If they're only marginally worse than this vaunted AUO panel, then I probably won't bother changing the order...
