even if you were a republican wouldnt you be afraid to vote for a person like that? they couldnt find a republican in texas who had a's and b's?
 
That's what politics is all about, baby. It's got nothing to do with how smart you are, how qualified you are, or your record.

It's just a popularity contest.

We may as well elect an animatronic figure from Disneyland as president.

What troubles me about elections is I have no good choices. In looking to find someone to vote for, one has to reach pretty damn far. Even then it may not be enough.

His similarities to Bush are quite concerning. One cannot trust a person who simply became a conservative in response to the tea party. Momentary pandering does not overcome a lifetime of mistakes in refrence to one's character and political decisions.

The angle of this attack, college records, do not concern me.

Got'ta agree with Jaskalas on all points here.

Whatever Perry lacks in the finer points of getting good grades in school he more than made up for it in his ability for getting good vote counts at the polls.....at the state level. Nationally, probably not.

It seems to me that he's a more polished version of Bush, and I'm not complimenting him in any way when I say that.

That said, the more I see and hear of him, the more he appears to be another puppet like Bush was. Charming in a folksy kind of way but less than able to carry his own weight.

He'll probably inherit the same political machine that got Bush elected twice, but like Bush said, "Fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."

However, like Bush, I bet Perry would be a really great guy to have a beer with and talk about the good 'ol days. The guy seems to know how to have a good time. It's in his face. It's in his manner.

I was pretty indifferent to Perry as governor, but I like him for president. It'd be a lot like getting another term of Bush, and I loved Bush all the way through.

I guess then the difference between a D and an R is that the D is looking at a 300 year sentence to prison and the R may run for President. I guess the two parties have different ways of dealing with scum.

Yeah we send people to jail who are convicted of crimes and we don't send people who haven't been convicted to jail. That black mold in the basement is starting to make you even dumber.
