How do rebates work?

i see alot of stuff like MIR and stuff and im wondering what do you need to get the money back?

how about online? is it hard to do it like that?

ok, here we go

you buy an item. you fill out the rebate form. you send it in. wait 4 months and hopefully you get your money.

It depends, basically you go buy the item, send in form, recepit, and the UPC, wait 8-12 weeks while the go play with your money and then they send you back a check. They usually earn some interest on your money while they have it and they rely on those people who forget to send it in, send it incorrectly, or those who just plain forget they ever sent it in. I don't really know what you mean by in internet rebate.

they also make money when the many lazy folks dont send their's in, or send in late
