I was trying to look at my coworkers screen and I couldn't see sh!t, they had some uber 1600x1200 resolution, damn who can see that good huh?

I can understand 12x10, but come on now, how many windows do you really need to see on your desktop at once???

Its all about the quality of the monitor, or hitting the native resolution if its an LCD. And of course its going to look small if you've been running 1024 and are used to that..

1600x1200 on a 20inch LCD is very easy to get used to, and you'll never go back and loewr resolutions..

My C840 laptop runs at 1600x1200 by default, but it's got very sharp detail.

I thought parody threads were supposed to be funny, and obviously a parody?

hence the 0/10

my dog has worms in its stool that can make a better parady thread than this. :)

ha, my thoughts exactly :p

all in good fun, plus, if you make them seem like not a parody thread, then more people fall for it, and then it is funnier...

1024x768 is small/big enough for me.
The distance between my head and the screen is about 90-100cm. I can't use 1600x1200 effectively.

I assume most people who run 16x12 do it just because they can...or just so they can brag about it on AnandTech ;)

Actually... I have my lcd's closer to me than I did my crt when it was 1280x.... so even though the res is higher... they are closer so it's ok

At work on a 21" LCD, I run 1600x1200 with no problems. Home, I have to run 1280x1024 just so my wife can see. I like the extra desktop space.

15" LCD on my laptop runs at 1600x1200.

Can't stand looking at a 15" desktop LCD running 1024x768 :(
