I don't know how I dealt with being single before. Life is a lot better when I had a g/f and even better now that she is my wife.

Also... If you're capable of getting laid I think the benefits are quite obvious. If you don't go out and socialize or at least try for a couple 1 night stands or something then you are blatantly doing it wrong. It's completely normal to be depressed for a while after a 3 year relationship ends as well. I think women tend to get over this shit faster, because well, it's not hard for them to get laid.

Freedom man....I can do whatever the fuck i want whenever the fuck I was. I don't have to report to anyone, don't have to get permission, don't have to do stuff I don't want to with someone, don't have to listen to BS, etc.

welcome to the club my friend. i recently ended a 3 yr relationship in November. I'm 32 and have am loving the single life. the most important thing is getting a solid social life started. i don't have to listen to anyone nag, or feed the needs of anyone else. it is pretty great actually. the biggest thing working against you is societal pressure.

for about 3 years after me and the mother of my children split for good i wasn't quite right... then i started getting better, then i got into another relationship, decided i didnt like it, and went back to being single, i love it, being single allows me to treat my friends to nice things much more often then if i had a s.o., being single means i can leave porn strewn across the room and it's not weird, being single means i can smoke pot all i want, sometimes until 4, 5, 6 in the morning, being single means i can get drunk as i want, and even piss out the window if i cant be bothered to stop watching tv or doing something else to run to the bathroom... being single means every time my female friends have an "extra" girlfriend who doesnt have a date (err wants to get laid) yep, i'm the pinch hitter, and bat away i do, but ONLY when i want too, and i NEVER worry about being an "unselfish lover." fuck that, i'm a dog,
seems like every time i get to this comfort level of being single though, some jezebel temptress comes along and casts her spell of love over me and i turn into whipped puddle with a hard on quickly.

No, it's weird, but no-one can see it and no-one cares. The biggest reason is because porn strewn across the room means it's not on a computer. What the hell is this, the '80s? FYI, your own semen is not considered porn, if that's what you mean.
Where the fuck do you live that opening a window, let alone removing the screen, is easier than going to the bathroom. Dude, pee in the toilet, just leave the seat up and door open and efficiency has been realized.

As others said find something that gets you out of the house and into public that makes you happy. Chances are you will meet someone who also enjoys your hobby and you can marry them or turn gay for them. You can be on top if it makes you feel better.
