How do most clean their PC's?

My brother recently vacuumed the dust out of his pc. I'm wondering what others do or recommend in terms of getting rid of the dust.

That works or a damp towel for dust on other things like the fans, grill bottom of the case etc etc.

I get my 68 ci paintball tank and just let it flow straight out of it works fine no wettness if its just plain air.

that's smart seeing as how most fields fill the nitrogen for free.

Stop by costco, and pick up a set of the compressed air cans (i think it's maybe $5 for 6 cans). I usually take my machines out in the garage about every other month (i live in AZ where it's very dusty), and blow the air through my machine.

Also, use the anti-static wipes to clean your keyboard, mouse, etc. Ths even works on the inside of your case for those stubern stains.

i use a coarse, quality paint brush(small stuff bristles) and a thin nozzle vacuum attachment.I find that sometimes the dust adheres(i clean mine monthly)compressed air doesnt seem to lift the dust off as well as i like(and it's pricey!)if i lightly brush my components while using it in tandem with the vaccuum, its seem to do a pretty good job.🙂

I just use a spray duster every week or so. A couple times a year I'll take one panel off, set it in the dishwasher sideways and run it through on "pots and pans" a couple times. Select the "hot dry" option and it comes out like a big dryer full of warm towels..mmm...and clean as a whistle too.

I usually take my case outside and hose it out with the garden hose and let it dry for a week 😀

I find that the washing machine is much better at getting to those hard to reach places. Only time consuming part is taking it apart and putting it back together.

man, that's risky, i don't clean it myself. usually sent it out to the dry cleaners.

Two bars of Irish Spring! Afterwhich my rig is as fresh as an Irish breeze... 😉

I also use my Oreck handheld with the hose reversed on the blow output end. I cup two fingers over the end of the hose nozzel to get a nice high powered directed stream of air - WHOOOOOSH! Oreck sure packs a punch!

Note: Before attempting the above cleaning make sure you remove the bowling ball from your suction hose.

Compressed Air.

Actually, my current case has not had to be cleaned in two years.
My intake vents are under the case which is sitting on casters (basement floor).
I think it is far enough away from the dust so that nothing comes in.

Positive pressure fan setups should virtually eliminate dust, too.

I take my case outside and reverse the Flow of the Vacumn so it blows. And boy does it blow every speck of dust outta my case. In all seriousness, it does a much better job than those cans of compressed air and it's alot cheaper.
