how do latest version of VNC measure up to Terminal Services?

i have to use VNC and trying to decide which one i'll use. in the past i used TightVNC and it was ok, terminal services gives better response but there are a few options with VNC that make it better.

anyway, anyone have any suggestions as to which variant of vnc i should use?

VNC cannot compare to a properly configured Terminal Server IMO.

Cheers!

i agree, but i have to log into my brothers server periodically and his employees keep forgetting to log out of their terminal services sessions and leaves me locked out. this will allow me to log in via VNC and log them out. 🙂

Define a policy that logs them off after x minutes idle time!

Cheers!

i just noticed something interesting. i logged onto my XP Pro desktop with Remote Desktop and with VNC, they both display the same session so that opening a program in VNC reacts concurrently in the remote desktop session.

well, if you look at the monitor of the computer you're logged in to, it will show that program opening, too. and both just show you the video output... so why wouldn't what you do in one show up on the other? duh!
