How do Install those new 3dfx Drivers?

I usually just install drivers for Nvidia boards...I dunno what to do with this leaked beta stuff. Your help would be much appreciated.

Nothing special really. Just uninstall your old video card drivers and simply double click the installer and follow the prompts. Some of the beta drivers unzip the archive into Windows\Temp, so you just need to double click on setup at the root level of the Temp folder if this is the case.
 
I just hit setup.exe, looked in the TEMP folder, found nothing...hmm...could it really be that simple?

Is there anything in temp at all?

Did the program unzip stuff when it was running? What did it say after the program finished running? Did it tell you to restart your machine? What version of the drivers do you have?

I need more info before I can help you! 🙂

BTW, this is for a V5 5500

That makes no difference. There are only two types: the beta drivers and WQHL drivers. Some of the beta drivers extract to Temp while all of the WHQL drivers will install completely by themselves.
 
Hmm?just installed some beta ones for my friend last night. All I did was double click the 3dfx driver Application, I wasn?t zipped, and then it told me to restart the comp. When restarted and got back up to desktop the program executed buy itself, and it was self explanatory from there on.

Where are you getting them from?
