I have just found a really old and unusable compaq laptop. I am trying to see if there is anyway to take the laptop monitor and splice it with vga cables to connect to a regular pc

any ideas?

the laptop was a compaq 5000 (6 year old pentium 75)

thanks

Hmm.. I dont really think its possible unless you have access to Compaq goodies (even then I doubt its possible).

The connectors are completely different. I dont even know wether there are the same number of wires.

I'm not best qualified to answer this though. Someone else probably knows more.
