This is probably an extremely stupid question, but....
I just reinstalled Win98 SE and I keep getting the stupid "Enter your password for Microsoft Networking" popup when Windows boots. Is there any way to disable this thing? It's really annoying. Does it pop up because of some option that I picked when installing Windows or does it just do it by default? Anyway, if anyone knows how to stop it from popping up please let me in on it. 😛

Your machine thinks its supposed to log into an NT network. In Network properties remove "client for MS Networks" or uncheck the "log into domain" option.

simpler way, find all your *.pwl files delete them, reboot, when the password window pops up just hit enter and presto its gone
