1. Setup my computer so that when i click My Computer, it opens up Explorer instead of the typical folder directories, i saw a rg entry on a site a while back but cant find te site.

2. How do i alphabetize my start menu witout doing it manually?? it used to do it before i installed IE 5.5, now the latest additions stay on the bottom of the start menu instead of alphabetizing itself.

2. Right click on any *shortcut* in the menu (not a submenu), then select Sort by Name.

For your first question, change the command line for Windows Explorer to

\WINNT\explorer.exe /n,/e,x:\

where x is your desired starting path.

[edit] Umm, nevermind, this does not apply to the question you asked. I'm so accustomed to seeing the question "How do I make Explorer open to the root drive rather than My Documents? Read right through it. [/edit]

Best regards,
Floyd

Hold down shift when you double click My Computer. That will make it come up with the Explorer view instead of the normal folder view.

Another way you can do it is to go to the folder options window (Tools:Folder Options in explorer), and then go to the file types tab. Under the 'N/A' tab there is an entry for Folder. Hit the advanced or edit button. Select 'explore' from the list and hit 'set default'
