Hi there

We recently purchased a Sony HDTV and a Sony BDP-S570 Blu-Ray player. The Blu-Ray player has the ability to play Youtube, Netflix, etc.

My question is, when watching Youtube, how do i choose to watch them in HD? Every video that I watched so far, they play at the lowest resolution thats available. I can't find the option to watch videos in HD.

On the computer its easy to just select the resolution at the bottom right hand corner, but through Sony's Youtube interface, I can't find the options anywhere that would allow me to watch any video in HD.

Thanks for any suggestions.

In your youtube account settings you can change it

-Click on your username next to "Sign Out"
-Click on account
-Go to the "Playback Setup"
Make sure these two are selected:
Always choose the best option for me based on my player size.
Always play HD when switching to fullscreen (when available)

Hopefully, that'll fix your TV issue (assuming that you can be signed onto your youtube account from your blu-ray player)

Yea I am signed into my Youtube account on the blu-ray player and those 2 options were already set from my computer. Netflix at least tells me which instant videos are streaming in HD. Maybe its the way the video formats are played? because I read somewhere about a Samsung blu-ray player not being able to play certain videos from Youtube. Connection speeds couldn't be the issue because I got a 20meg connection

Oh well, I guess i'm gonna call Sony tech department and see if they can help me out. You would think they would want their customers to enjoy the HD side of Youtube or at least making that option more easily accessible.

Thanks for responding though
