How do I watch TV on this computer monitor?

It's an E-Machines made specifically for your computer. It's inputs are VGA and DVI and it has an audio in.

How can I watch TV on this? I saw that I can buy one of these:

Would that work? Is there any other solution? I only have a laptop here so I would prefer to be able to watch TV without the use of my laptop but I don't watch to drop a whole lot of money on it. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I currently have my xbox hooked up to watch DVDs, etc and it works fine through the VGA input.

Depends on the resolution. If it's 16:9 or supports the 16:9 HDTV resolutions (720p/1080i), just hook it to the cable box with a HDMI-DVI cable.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16815306007 New egg reviews are bad for this, and for a stand alone product it doesn't seem like it has the ports for what you want it to do anyway. I am thinking of getting HD (over the air) for my projector and was kinda looking for something. The only way to do it, would be to save it to the computer (the shows I want to watch) and stream it. Kind of a pain. but it beats paying 100 bucks for device to do it.
