How do I view Digital Cable on my WinTV-PVR250?

So me and my roomates got digital cable for the tv in our living room. But my tv card in my computer still only sees regular cable channels. Is there a way I can view digital cable channels on my computer?

Because I'm thinking of getting beyondTV and turning my computer into a TIVO type machine to record upcoming sports games that are only available in the digital cable channels.

Help please.

You'll need to run the output from the digital cable receiver to the card. Have you tried that already?

No, I haven't...
hmm..so my room is upstairs from my living room, I gotta run the output up the stairs.
Is there another way?

Nope. Unless you want to spend $5 (I think) more a month for a separate receiver just for your room.
