How do i view a mpeg4 movie?

winXP, but running Media Player 6.4 because i hate all the others.

what do i need to download to play a mpeg4 movie? and link pls :)

WinXP should have the right codecs built in to play it. What was it encoded with?

If I'm not mistaken, that's the format that SVCD's are in, and I always had to have some sort of DVD playback program to view those. Once installed, I could then view the video files in WMP 6.4 as well. If that doesn't help, try downloading the "Nimo" Code Pack. (Although you will find some people here who are VERY MUCH against installing these codec packs.)

SVCDs are MPEG-2 (as are DVDs). VCDs are MPEG-1. MPEG-4 is Divx and Windows Media Video.

What he said. If its sound is encoded in ogg (not many are), then install the ogg codec (Ogg Vorbis DirectShow) as well.
