How do I use this meat?

My mom gave me a "round steak" (doesn't look too round to me) and I have no idea what to do with it. How do I cook this annoying slab of beef?

Roundsteak can be tough if there is not too much fat.

I suggest putting it in the crockpot with some veggies and seasonings for about 6 - 8 hours on low.

(Put the steak in a pot, simmer it until browned but not enough to get hard like a well-done steak then add Chili powder, tomato sauce, cumin seed powder, other ingredients to taste)
