FTP usually consists of FTP server which store the files, and FTP Client which fetches the files.

Example: WS_FTP is the smarter way to transfer files.

You can Use remote control program, or even attached files to email and fetch them from an other location.

There is a lot of way to get, and send file, it really depends what you specifically want to do, and what type of connection you want to use.

For an FTP server, I use War FTP. Free, very secure and SIMPLE to hook up :)

I recommend Flash FXP as the client and Servu as the server .. I've been running Servu since 1997, and its never given me any problems
