How do I use DDR2/PC2 ram?

First of all...im not really good with ram. I have no clue what CAS timmings are and what "x-x-x-x" means (when talking about CAS). Anyway...most motherboards support DDR PC3200 Ram..but I can't find any AMD motherboards that support DDR2/PC2 ram. My friend said that only some "LGA775 motherboards" (which is an intel motherboard) support DDR2. But I see people with AMD CPU's use DDR2 ram. How does this all work? A good explanation would really be appreciated.

Huh? AMD mobo with DDR2? They don't exist yet. If you see someone with an AMD mobo + DDR2 RAM in their sig, then either it was a mistake, or the rig doesn't really exist and was made up to look "kewl". 🙂

Well, nobody uses an AMD setup with DDR2 memory. AMD currently doesn't support DDR2, but they are planning to on their new socket M2. That's still not till next year or so. Also, with CAS latency, the lower the better, but expect higher speed memory (e.g. DD2-533) to have higher timings on average.

Whoa, wonder what that is like? Any reviews?
