I have a manual, but it dosent discuss actual operation! Just installing and not getting wires crossed, etc.

wow... are you from the south by any chance?

anyways, powder or liquid dishwashing detergent... it doesn't matter. both get the job done. it's the brand that matters most. i prefer cascade.

the best way to load is to load all your dishes on the bottom first.... then, find room for your pots/pans. then, put your bowls and glasses on the top rack. make sure nothing overlaps or it won't get clean because the water jets can't hit the dirty part of the dish.

http://www.hodcroft.net/images/4/DSCF2215.jpg <---- here's an example.you're supposed to have the handles of the forks and spoons down but the handles of the knives up.... however, i just have all the handles up. that way, when i'm putting away the dishes and i grab the silverware, i won't be touching the part that goes in peoples' mouths.... plus, i won't stab myself with knives or forks when i'm grabbing a bunch of silverware at a time to sort them.

You know, I grew up with a single parent and I'm an only child. WE don't use enough dishes to use a dishwasher. We've used it like 5 times total because of potlucks and what not. Even when I moved to college and into an apartment with 4 people, we didnt have enough dishes to use the dishwasher and we only used the dishwasher as our dish rack.

There are a lot of ppl who don't use a dishwasher and even now in my new apartment, I have a total of 6 plates and bowls + 3 mixing/salad metal bowls + 4 - 5 tupperware. I usually don't use much so I'm fine doing my dishes everyday.

Good advice though.. I pretty much know how to load them up, just not how to use them =(

Make sure you don't put something large in front of the soap tray that opens mid-cycle. The door may not fully open or you may not get all the soap out of it. Especially if you use powder.

BTW I've found that a mix of Cascade and Electrasol is the most economical and efficient.

Cascade for the prewash. Not much needed.
Electrasol Tabs for the main wash. <- good stuff
I keep Jet Dry compartment filled as well.
Air dry.

Based on your limited knowledge about dishwashers,We sure as hell hope that your next question isn't going to be about how to use a toilet bowl properly.
For example: Do I sit or stand.

Good luck and here's a cookie :cookie: while you read some of the other interesting replies to your dishwasher post.

To use a dishwasher follow these steps:

Setup and Preparation:
-Go to a club, find a dishwasher.
-Romance her. (Tell her you love her.)
-Put a ring on her finger
-Go to some fancy event where you have to wear a monkey suit, all the women cry, and you get laid afterwords.

Usage:
-Put dishes anywhere you want. If you are feeling kind, put them in the sink or the general vacinity of the kitchen.
-The dishwasher takes care of the rest, or you don't buy anything for it.

(KIDDING. jic someone doesn't realize it.)
