How do I upload my webcam?

The title says it all. I have a webcam plugged but don't know how to upload it.

when you say 'upload my webcam' do you make 'make the video work' or 'take a single still picture'?

what webcam is it (brand/model)? what version of windows do you have? did you install the latest drivers? what application are you trying to get the webcam working on (yahoo msgr? netmeeting, etc)
