How do i upgrate my Liteon CDR 40x to 48?

Does anybody know how to upgrade a 40x burner to the 48x burner? I know there is firmware to update the liteon. Any guidance?

You can't "upgrade" the drive to 48x. You can "overclock" it, which voids the warranty. If you wan't to do that, there is plenty of information at cdfreaks and other websites.

technically you aren't overclocking it either lol...

the 40x drive has the same parts as the 48x, it's just the firmware is different...

cdfreaks.com is the place to get them... i do believe...
