How do I uninstall WinXP after setting it up to dual boot with WinME?

I installed WinME on drive C: and found that I need a program on WinXP. So I installed WinXP on partition drive D: and dual booted. Now that I don't really need to dual boot to XP anymore, I want to remove it since my video card don't like XP. How can I do this without messing up WinME?

Format you winxp drive

boot up using a floppy and type:

FDISK /MBR

That should work

and that won't affect anything on my C drive? is there any other way? like deleting the system files on D drive manually? my D drive is loaded with backup files. i don't really have room or time to back it up
