how do i UNDO a windows reinstall?

to make a long story short while i was gone <somebody> (not me) decided that my computer need to be repaired... so they reinstalled win98se from within my perfectly working windows.

in my root direcotry there are a bunch of files like win98undo.dat which is about 111mb and win98undo.ini

so is there anyway to undo everything?
 
i've never tried to uninstall a re-install of win98 (because it was always needed to fix a FUBAR installation) but if you go to add/remove programs there should be a listing to uninstall win98, which i would think would leave you where you were at before... (maybe someone has actually tried this?). and then, when you have finished...this <someone> deserves a whippin' with a wet noodle
