I downloaded a whole entire cd in mp3 that's been edited so that the whole track is only 1 single mp3. How do i segment them so that i can have multiple tracks.
convert to .wav, then manually cut and delete the tracks using delete before current position or after current position, and then save as, revert, and do it for the next track. then convert back to mp3.
Well one way would be to buy the CD instead of stealing it and rip it yourself the right way 🙂
But I think there are software/plugins that will break it up if there is x seconds of silence...
There are MP3 editing software packages out there just like there are for .wav files and nearly every other type of media. I know Audiocatalyst has such a package in it (the Xing MP3 Editor, or something like that). I don't know if there are freeware packages out there as I haven't searched for them. But, you know, if you're creative about it *cough*youcanprobablydownloaditwithMorpheus*cough* you might be able to obtain a copy of commercial software for less than retail price.
