In the upper right-hand corner of the posts is a small icon that looks like a piece of paper with an arrow pointing to it. This will let you subscribe to the thread without posting.

If you go to the Today page, you can see what threads you have subscribed to. To unsubscribe, check the box next to the thread and click "unsubscribe"
