How do I transfer WUs from non-networkable rig to SETI?

I've been running my home rig to do about 4-6 WUs per day. A few days ago I suddenly became unable to connect to the internet (excruciating and, as yet unsolved, details posted in networking forum). So, tonight I burned my entire SETI directory to CDR and copied it to an old Celeron 400 rig that still functions and CAN connect (hence this message).

However, when I tried to run Seti Driver from the new rig and new directory it went into spasm, flip flopping from 'Transmit' to 'Stop Transmit' almost faster than the eye could focus. Obviously no units are being uploaded. I've got 15 WUs to upload and don't know how to do it.

Also, I download a bunch of units from work, burned the directory to CDR and brought them home hoping to at least use the processing power of the injured beast. (I started a new client on the work machine). So now I have great trepidation about trying to install the work WUs on the home crippled rig.

So..... what do I do? Thanks.

Check the file and make sure they aren't read only. Many time when you copy files to cdr they change to read only. You have to either change them back or zipped them up before you burn them. All you need to move is the numbered folders inside your seti folder.Just stop seti zip up the folders, burn them to disc, move to other machine and unzip into the setifolder on the other machine. (Delete the folders on the other machine before doing this ) start up seti on the second machine and tranmit the work units. after you finish do the same thing over again to move the new work units back to the first machine

I believe you have gotten some very good advice from Freewolf. 😉 🙂
