look for a file on your hard drive called outlook.pst. that file contains all of your email messages, folders, your address book and all your notes/journal entries. just copy that to disk or whatever media you have that is large enough to hold it and you should be set. then when you setup outlook again on your new install just open outlook and go to file, import and then when it asks you for a file, tell it you have a .pst file and you should be off and rolling.
