how do i transfer a general warranty deed?

i just prepared a warranty deed conveying real property. and i was wondering what else do i need to do properly transfer it. i think all that is left is sign the general warranty deed in front of a notary and register it at the register of deeds. is there anything else involved in transfering a general warranty deed?
