Just bought an openbox P5Q Pro on newegg for 80 with 9 bucks shipping. It looked like a pretty good deal since they are selling the same mobo new for 140 with free shipping. I think it was cheaper before though not too sure.
Anyways since this is my first open box does anyone have any advice on how I should go about testing this motherboard? What should I look for? What programs should I run?
This was meant to be a budget build, but I'd rather not fry all my components.

I'm planning on using the following:
e7300
gemini 2
80 gig hard drive (I have 2 x WD 640 gigs coming)
Antec NeoHe 550W

Not sure what Ram I should get to test this thing.

Just build your system. You won't know if there is a motherboard issue till you get everything installed and start it up for the first time.

If you're worried about a problem, just open up an rma now within the 15 day warranty. Then if something happens you'll have about 30 days from the day the board was ordered to send it back to newegg. Rma's expire in about 30 days if you don't use them.
