I just connected a new switch to an existing switch with cascade cables. I setup the new switch a few months ago and forgot the IP address. I need to concole into it to see and or change the IP address. This is my switch on my LAN and I have the password. I just forgot how to get into it.

HELP!!!
 
ok, duh...you use hyper terminal

I can get into the switch fine now, but can't figure out how to make it connect.

do i need to assing them the same stack ip address???
 
doh. i finally found the docs on nortel's site.

it was the freaking base switch on the back. i got it working fine.
