Okay, this guy I helped with some programming assignments last semester asked me if I could help him out and tutor him in his computer science course... I told him probably not because I have two jobs and my own school to worry about, but I'd answer any specific questions he has...

his response (communicated via email) was that he'll meet me on tuesday or wednesday and where I'll be so he can get help.

Should I just tell the guy to ask the professor or TA? I mean, i thought the entire I have no time thing was a pretty obvious hint... I just have trouble saying no to people, which sucks... stupid accomodating self.

Tell him the truth. "I simply don't have time." Then suggest alternate resources for him to get the help he needs.

Whatever you do, DON'T GIVE IN! You don't have the time to accomodate him, as sad as it is.

agreed.

"I can't help you" will suffice. He knows what hes doing by trying to set a time, and he will know when you mean business.

he's trying to make you do all his work.

tell him to go away and that you have better things to do w/your time, unless he pays you $20 an hour.
