How do I tell the difference between a real Type-R and a fake?

One way is by color. Real Type-Rs are in a off-white color w/ painted rims. Another way to tell is by how many lugnuts are on the wheels. Standrard Integras have 4 lugs while Type-Rs have five.

The older Type-R's only came in white. The new 2001 Type-R's only come in black and yellow.

Either an off white color; yellow or black for the 2000-2001s. Also, I think they 5 lugs instead of 4. Look at the interior, there would be indicators, and of course, pop the hood and look for the correct engine.

I'm just guessing, but my neighbor thinks he's got a Type R...well at least the sticker says so...but does the fact that it has cheap plastic hub caps mean it isn't a real Type R? Just wondering ;) I was sure they'd have better rims...aluminum alloy or something...

I remember the old Type-R's didnt have a rear windshield wiper. I think the new ones do have one though.
