cpu = AMD x2 6000
mobo= asus m2r32-mvp

Manual says for dual channel, use memory slots 1+3.

On motherboard, slots 1+2 are same color (yellow), slots 3+4 are same color (black).

Is there a program i can run to test if i'm in dual channel?

Memtest86+ will say it if your chipset is supported properly

CPU-Z will also tell you this in the memory tabs.

thx. cpuz says single channel mode.

mem is in slots 1+3 per the manual.

looks like i have to move it to slots 1+2 per the color coding on the motherboard.

sigh

edit:
moved ram to slots 1+2.
cpuz now says mem in dual channel
