Uh.... LOOK. On one side of the door, the knob will have two screws that screw into the door.

... uh... I'm gonna go out on a limb here.

...unscrew them?

If you had a picture of the door set, someone could prolly help you.
There are many types and styles.
If you don't have a cam. then look on the plate that sticks out the edge of the door for the mfg.

Damn. I should have told him that there aren't any screws and to just yank as hard as he can on the handle with the door closed.

:D :D :D

Heh if hes saying what i think hes saying, then its best if you get one of those 90 degree angle screw drivers. either that or try to unscrew the screws at an angle.

Ohh how about you just unscrew the whole door at the hinges and switch doors ;)

as you can see... theres no screws except for on the plate on the end

That's the screws everyone's talking about numbnuts. ;)

Eh, I guess they were talking about screws on the knob itself. So what you're going to do is remove the screws in the picture, pull that assembly out, and then remove the knob. You may have to twist the knob a little to get it off.

That will/should remove the striker plate, but I doubt if there are screws under the escutcheon.
Look for a set scerw in the thin part of the shaft - between the door and the knob itself.

On the side of the door, unscrew the little plate over the latching mechanism and then pull the mechanism out. This will allow you to move onto the next step of removing the knobs.

On the knob itself there is one screw, loosen that and the plate cover should then be able to move one way or the other. Twist and pull it out slightly. The knob plate may not come all the way off, but it will pull away/loosen enough for you to be able to insert a screwdriver and undo the two long screws that are holding the two sides of the knobs together.

Once those two long screws are removed, the two knob ends should fairly fall off the door.

There should be a screw on the "neck" of one of the doorknobs. Remove it and you can pull the knob assemblies out. Next, remove the two screws on the edge of the door and remove the latch assembly.
