I have an aiw x800xt that i've been using as a normal video card for gaming. How do I use the other features and how would I connect it so I can watch TV? I have cable television, is the only way is to get an extra tuner box from the company and connect it ? thanks!

Do you have digital cable or regular cable? The AIW cards have analog (NTSC) tuner built into them. If you have standard cable, all you have to do is hook up the coax to the jack on the card and download a TV viewing app (there are many free ones, ATI has TV software too but it sucks).

The AIW needs additional drivers for the video capture/tuner and remote features to work. Check AMD for the details.

Basically, you hook the cable to the PC like you would a VCR.

Depends. If your cable Co still transmits the analog signal over cable, you probably don't need a Cable Co box for "those" channels, the AIW should tune them (provided they are analog channels 1 through 125).

The digital channels will require a Cable Co box to tune, then you would connect to an analog output of the Cable box and use the Cable Co tuner to change channels.
