Please help. I need to supress scan disk from running at each re-boot. I know I need to enter scandisk=0 somewhere, but I forget where.

Forget it... Found another thread with the info. No flames for my impatience please!:)

Turn off the read only attribute of MSDOS.SYS in the root of C:. Open it in notepad and under the options sections add the line AUTOSCAN=0. Save, and reset the readonly attrib and you're done. :)

Or if you don't feel like playing around with the registry, just type msconfig in the RUN from your start menu, then click on ADVANCED, and check the box next to "Disable Scandisk after bad shutdown"

My 2 cents of the day :)

Badthad and Ploucos, thanks. I should have remembered the Advanced button in msconfig. Anyway, the problem was related to the IDE large cache issue. I fixed that (downloaded from Windows Update)and added the proper delay in the Registry. Microsoft KB article. Badthad had suggested this on another thread. Again, Badthad, THANKS!:D

What you need to do is reconfigure the coaxial partition with the variance of the HD, Thus enabling the router to bipass the transmition mainframe..
fairly easy if u ask me.

I suppose I could tap the EPS conduits and modify the plasma injectors. Or I could add a crystalline matrix of tricolonite and disphincteride to the IDE controller. Any third-year cadet should have thought of that! BadThad, I'm happily churning away WU's for the TeAm.

Thanks for all your help. This thread has started to get a little wacky!:D
