How do I stop XP telling me about the automatic updates?

I don't have XP, but do you possibly have the automatic update service installed? Check in Add/Remove programs, and un-install it if you have it.
 
Good thought, but I can't see anything along those lines. I'm sure it's an option somewhere, it's just that it's 2am and I can't be bothered hunting through all my control panel options and was hoping someone would post here so that next time i'm on I can sort it out 😉
