how do i stop acrobat and msoffice xp

I recently installed acrobat 6.0 full version - I had the same stupid problem with 5.0 as well in which when I start MS word or excel or any MS office product - Stupid acrobat starts up and creates a toolbar and adds its own menus.


This process just slows the whole thing down tremendously.

Any way to stop it?

thank you very much - damn thing was driving me crazy - i didnt know why i didnt do the obvious and check with adobe.
