How do I start Litestep

When I used Litestep, you had to change boot.ini or whatever it was from explorer.exe to litestep.exe and reboot. But now I'm not sure what is the proper way to start it. I don't mind if I have to restart, because before when they first allowed you to switch without restarting it normally messed things up anyway. If I just run litestep.exe it halfway loads then pretty much messes up.

What OS? I used litestep a few years ago on a 98se pc and you had to make changes to tell the OS what shell to load. On my xp machine the installer just loads it and updates the registry for you.

this is from my memory, so there is a very good chance this is wrong...

search win.ini for "shell=explorer.exe"... change explorer.exe to litestep.exe (or whatever). reboot.

Win2k...

I don't know if the installer did anything, but don't seem like it cause it doesn't work...

No the win.ini way isn't the way for win2k, I think it was only for 95/98.
