Okay, I currently use 2 drives.

11 gig 5400 ........ OS / programs / email

25 gig 5400 ........ mp3 / general storage and such

------------

I recently bought the 120 gig HD from Dell. How should I set up my drives now? It's a 7200 drive with a 8mb cache.

Is there a big difference in speed that I should definitely use this as my OS drive and keep the 25 gig as my backup? I'd rather have the bigger drive as my storage drive, but would probably want my OS on the faster drive.

What do you guys think? What should I do with these 3 drives?

11 gig, currently runnin Win2k
25 gig, currently used as storage
120 gig, currently unused (7200 rpm)

Oh, you might want to clarify the title.

Sometimes, around here, when you ask "What do I do with.........", you will get an answer like "You can shove those drives up your.......". You know?

I don't think it will matter if you leave your OS and stuff on the 5400 rpm drive. Are you doing anything that you would really benefit from having the faster drive holding your OS and programs? Make the 7200 rpm drive your storage drive.......

Open up Kazaa... click search... type in porn.
Download everything that hits on the search.

Bye bye 120 gigs of space ;)

I guess you're right on the title, i changed it

I've heard that there's a BIG difference between 5400 and 7200, that's why I'm asking this question...... i'm not sure on the reliability of where i heard this, this is why i'm opening to the ATOT geniuses ;)
