I have a 98 machine and a NT4 machine at home.. both are hooked up to a hub sharing a adsl connection ala Linux router... (this was set up by a friend not me).. Here at school we have network drives.. I would like to set up a network drive at home.. and if not, then just file sharing between the two machines.. whatever is easier.. I turned file and print sharing on on the 98 machine.. the NT machine can see it.. but when I go in, there is nothing there... how do I put stuff in there? How do I share files?
Thanks..

ok , it's very easy , just right click in explorer on any drive/folder you want to share , then go to sharing , and the rest is easy ; )

good luck.

<edit>
Okay.. if anyone can help me out.. I've got my 98 machine successfully sharing a whole partition on the netwerk.. so in
netwerkneighbourhood/entirenetwerk/ thunderbird is there.. (thunderbird is the name of my comp) but the other machine isn't (the NT machine).. I don't know how to configure the NT machine to share it's files and printer.. how do I do this with NT? Here's a link to what it looks like.. I can't figure it out..
pics
As you can see, only Thunderbird is visible in the entire netwerk window.. and I can't figure out this netwerk properties for NT..
if anyone can help me... thanks.

It appears that you are running NT 4.0.

Windows NT 4.0 has file & print sharing installed by default. All you need to do is go to the appropriate drive (or folder/directory), right click, and select sharing. A new window will pop up and click on "New Share" to create a shared drive.

In order to access the NT share from the 9x machine, the exact same username & password you have on the 9x machine will need to be on the NT box as well. You can create that in the User Manager program under Administrator Tools.
