How do I share an Internet connection?

I have two computers networked with WinME. A laptop and desktop. The desktop stays connected most of the time through a dial-up connection. I can get the laptop to be able to access the internet. I have the drives shared and printers shared but the Internet NO. I was wondering what software works the best for simple home users or even for the faster cable, DSL and, satelite connections. I would like to grow my home network more but right now I just have to computers and a hub. I tried WinGate 4 and could get it configured.
 
WinME has built-in Win ICS... so you can use that to share your connection...

A lot of ppl like Sygate also... It's very easy to setup and use...
