I cannot get past step #2 because I can't locate the WinProxy Service... where is this on Win2K? The instructions refer to NT4.. thanks in advance everyone..

If you don't find an answer there, check in the Software forum.

Valhalla, if he were an Elite Member, would you say:

Valhalla1 - That wasn't too nice, especially to a new member! :D

Sorry I don't know the answer to your question man... I've played Starcraft at my cousin's house who has cable. I wasn't able to play a game with him on bnet because we both had the same IP (2 comps on his cable), but we could both get on bnet and play games.

Perhaps you don't have everything properly configured? Maybe you should contact your ISP just to find out if they know anything about it, maybe they could help you out.. It couldn't hurt to ask.

Hey valhalla1,

When you are a mod here you have the right to critisize, heck you could move the thread yourself. Until then why don't you stop being so rude to someone that may or may not have made an honest mistake. If you feel this thread was posted in error email the mods, don't crap in the thread.

Heh, I don't want to jump on Valhalla, but I have to admit
when I first joined the forums, it was very intimidating
to have people pounce on you and make jabs at you when you make
a newbie mistake. Luckily, I have a thick skin, so I wasn't
too thwarted, but I"m glad people are starting to promote
the fact that Junior-Member bashing doesn't contribute to
AT at all.
