I have my multi-display on nvidia cards so I can't say for sure but if I had to take a guess i would say whatever drivers are installed should just work. HydraVision will probably give you some extra features. Check out a proram called ultramon to get the most out of a multi-monitor setup.

Dont you have to drag what you want to display on the secondary screen from the default screen?

First connect both monitors to your video card. Next you will need to download the Ati Catalyst control center and this requries microsoft .net framework to work. You can download both here

Once that is done right click your desktop and select the Cataylst control center and enter the setup wizard. From there check both displays and check if you want to strecth the 2 monitors into one or simply extend your desktop. (That was confusing but you will understand one you go into the wizard) Also make sure you set your resolution.

I think what you actually want to do is set WoW to run in window mode. Then you just drag the window to whichever monitor you want. My cousin runs the same setup so he can play WoW and do other stuff while he's waiting around in that game.

And I find it incredibly surprising I can't just flip to the other screen when I'm on a gryph or w/e? Is there no demand for this feature?

Basically no.

When you play a game it is very SYSTEM INTENSIVE = can't spare processing power to do anything else.

Just play the game in a window and see the performance hit. Then just click out on to your other monitor to do stuff.

Dual monitors is not common amongst people. Maybe here but AT'ers are hardcore on technology.

I have dual monitors and I play WoW.

While in WoW, go into the video options. Select Windowed Mode and check the Maximized Window checkbox. You'll be able to move your mouse between the WoW and the other screen just like any other application.
