I am running windows 2000 as a print server. And I have setup the printer and created a shortcut on the desktop. Everytime i reboot the workstation and i click on the shortcut i am unable to have access to the printer. First I need to access a shared drive on the server and input my user name and password. I dont mind inputing my user name and pass but is it possible to set it up in a way that when you click on the printer shortcut from the workstation it will also prompt you for your username and password???

Thanks in advance

Go to the Windows2k box and create a user with the EXACT same name and password that you are using on the second box. Once you have a matching account on both boxes you shouldn't have to log in for either shared folders/drives or printers again.
