how do I set up a simple network to share files?

I don't want to have to burn all my files onto discs to get them on my new computer. How do I set up a VERY simple network to share files? Are there any programs that will do it for me? Are there any websites that could point me in the right direction?

I know I should put this in networking, but not that many people visit that forum......

Also, my new comp has WinME, and my old comp has Win2K.

you need two ethernet cards and a crossover cable. after that, it's very easy. do you have these components yet?

then make sure you install netbeui, and enable print and file share
then make sure all your computer is in the same workgroup
make the all the drive that have file you want to bring to new computer share.
make the drive you want all the file to copy to share
then just do copy and pasta
