how do i set up a ftp site?

i want to set up a ftp so people can dl some of my stuff (movies, pix). not porn but of car races. . any advice would be greatful. thanks.

FTP serv U is a pretty good server. This is the one that i use too.

if you want more features, you might want to consider using G6 FTP server.

FTP serv-U has problems with the default settings of FlaxhFXP and WS_FTP clients though.

get G6 FTP, it has a very easy to understand manual. and it is much better than the others.

My friend highly reccomends WARFTP as well but i've never really used it. He thinks FTP serv-U is the worst FTP server.

I'm all about G6 FTP. I don't know about manuals as I never read them anyway. But it's very simple to use and has lots of features. And if you want, it has a credit feature so that people can only d/l if they u/l.

Funny, I've used Server-U and War-FTP both, but gave them both up when i found G6. G6 is by far the best and easiest to use. The manual is great too if you need a little help.

Don't be confussed about the 'manual'. Help = Manual. But it's much better that a regualr help in most programs.

yeh i only mentioned the great manual that it has because it sounded like allmotor may need a little extra help. for anyone who has used an FTP server before it is very straight forward.

I switched from Serv-U to G6 because people had troubles resuming uploads with Serv-U.
