How do I set up 2nd HD for dual boot???

O.K, I've got windows 95 on one hard drive,(30.7gb Maxtor) and I want to load windows 3.1 onto the slave hard drive(1gb Maxtor).
The 1gb hd already has win95 on it(used to be my master), so my question is, would it be best to reformat the 1gb and then install win3.1, or is there something/someway else I should be doing this??
And before anyone asks, I want win 3.1 as I am going for my A+ training next month, and I don't know it as well as I do win95.
Same with Dos 6.22.

All help is greatly appreciated!!!😎

I tried to dual boot with Win98/ Winme, and failed. I heard that your have to have an OS that implements a menu at boot up for a choice. Other than that all I know is that you could physically change the drives over.
 
Try as I may, I, too, was unable to dual boot W98 & W98/SE. Tried Boo Magic (comes with Partition Magic), loading to different physical drives .. spent a while trying to get it to work. Was not able.
