how do I set the record button to record on pocket pc?

somehow I screwed up the button shortcuts so that the little voice memo record button on the side doesn't work anymore and there's no shortcut for it in the list for button assignments. how do I get the voice record function back?
 
yeah, but you know how in the buttons applet in settings, you select one of the 5 buttons and then select an action from the list? well mine no longer has an "action" for recording memos. when I messed up my buttons, I also lost actions for all the other programs, but I was able to fix those by finding their exe's in the windows folder and making shortcuts to them in start menu\programs. there are a few programs in \windows that sound like memo recording, such as "hotvoice.exe" but when I make shortcuts to any of them in start menu\programs, they still don't show up the "actions" list in the buttons applet.
 
thanks for the site, but I can't find anywhere on there that says how to fix my problem. is it there?
does anybody else have some info?
